Life's little fails

I had a fabulous weekend! Friday night was spent hanging out with my man. He spent most of the night with the band at their practice spot painting it purple. Yes, purple. But when he got home we went for a late night walk by the Waterfront. I brought my camera to take some cool night shots but of course as soon as we snapped one picture my batteries died. Don't you HATE that!? So, we made the best of it and used his phone. Thank god for camera phones. But, alas, the photos are stuck on my boyfriend's phone, I tried to email them and upload them without any luck. You'll see them eventually.

Saturday was even better. In the afternoon I attended my girlfriend's daughter's 2nd birthday. She is the cutest little girl you've ever seen. I can't believe it's been two years since she was born! I remember I was one of the first people she told when she got pregnant, and I went with her to tell her Mom. It was one of the hardest things I've ever been through. But now, Estella Kimberly brings warmth and smiles to anyone she meets. She full of smiles and giggles and her Mom and Dad couldn't be prouder. and I couldn't be prouder of them. <3

I didn't take my camera because photographing children is near impossible, but I did take a photo of my outfit on my laptop the night before. Wa-la!

Later that night we went to a Roller Derby match with our friends Tyler and Sara. Yes! You read right, friend's of the band Tim and Amanda gave us free tickets! Hosted by Penn Jersey Roller Derby, we saw the Trauma Queens vs. the Dishonor Roll. The match was awesome, with a juicy fight at the end. Afterwords, we hit the after party at The Flying W - a restaurant and bar with a swimming pool in the shape of an airplane! It was amazing!

Sara and I got trashed, guilty as charged. As the night went on suddenly bathing suits were an option and Sara and I were no exception to the rule. All in all, great night.

On Sunday, Ryan and I slept in to recover from the previous night. We got Panera Bread for lunch and then visit a local spot called "The Falls" where there's a little natural water fall in the creek. It wasn't a planned adventure so we used Ryan's phone to take pictures. Pictures which are still on his phone until I figure out how to upload them. Oh well! Here's a sneak peak:

Well, Ryan's home from practice now and he brought me grapes and cheese! Yum...

P.S. I need this:
